About Me.
My name is Tyrell Biggs, and I'm from Rockland County, New York, where my love for the game began at the age of seven. What started as a childhood passion grew into an 11-year professional career that has taken me across more than five countries. Along the way, I've been shaped by different cultures, styles, and levels of competition, all of which have defined me as a seasoned, globally experienced professional.
My basketball journey began in New York City on the Upper West Side at Riverside Church, where the game first taught me discipline, fundamentals, and life lessons that went far beyond the court, shaping the foundation of who I was becoming as a young man. After eighth grade, I took the next step at Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, a pivotal chapter where my growth accelerated not only as a player but as a person. Surrounded by a powerful blend of community, spirituality, and family, I matured into a young man prepared for the demands of college and life.
At the University of Pittsburgh, I experienced success at the highest level, becoming part of the most winning class in school history and helping lead Pitt to its second Elite Eight appearance in 50 years, during my senior year. Following my collegiate career, perseverance opened the door to an NBA Summer League opportunity with the Chicago Bulls, where I elevated my professional stock and earned my first pro contract in Greece.
That opportunity launched an 11- year professional career that allowed me to compete across the world, embracing new cultures and challenges along the way. During the 2011- 2012 season, while playing in the NBA G League and averaging 18.5 points per game, my journey came full circle when I received the call-up to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a moment that validated years of dedication, sacrifice, and belief.

My name is Sonia Biggs, and I’m from Nicosia, Cyprus, where my passion for the game first began at a young age of eight years old. Growing up, I was inspired by those around me, especially my family, who pushed me to work hard and strive to be my best. What started as a childhood love for the sport gradually turned into a serious pursuit, leading me to compete at higher levels and eventually beyond my home country.
Coming from a small island and stepping into international competition was both challenging and motivating. Facing athletes from countries with long-standing traditions and strong development systems pushed me to elevate my game and mindset. I joined the junior national team early in my career, 12 years, and soon began competing at the senior level, age 14, gaining valuable experience against top competition.
Playing at a high level, traveling, and representing my country helped shape not only the player I became, but also the person I am today. The intensity, diversity of playing styles, and level of competition constantly challenged me to grow, stay disciplined, and push past my limits. These experiences ultimately opened the door for me to continue my journey in the United States on a full basketball scholarship.
Competing in college basketball for four years introduced me to a new philosophy of the game, one centered on continuous development, learning, and adaptability. It reinforced the idea that growth never stops, both on and off the court. Alongside my family, me and my sisters were the the first from my country to help pave the way for younger athletes to pursue opportunities in the U.S., even when it wasn’t the easiest or most accessible path.
After completing my college career, I continued playing professionally overseas, playing and being the captain of my national team, carrying with me the lessons, experiences, and determination that have defined my journey.
My name is Michael Scharf, and I grew up in Rockland County, New York, where my passion for basketball started at a young age. The game quickly became a central part of my life and helped shape my discipline, competitiveness, and work ethic. I went on to play high school basketball at Don Bosco Prep, competing in one of the most competitive programs in the region and learning what it meant to prepare, perform, and contribute at a high level within a team environment.
Basketball continued to play an important role in my life at Claremont McKenna College, where I competed at the collegiate level while developing the academic and leadership foundation that would later guide my professional career. The experience reinforced the importance of accountability, resilience, and teamwork—principles that continue to influence how I approach business and leadership today.
After graduating, I began my professional career at Banc of America Securities, where I gained exposure to financial markets and corporate strategy. That experience helped shape my interest in building and scaling businesses, which led me to found MyClean, a residential cleaning services company focused on operational excellence and customer experience. Building MyClean from the ground up provided firsthand experience in entrepreneurship, hiring, systems development, and growth execution.
Today, I serve as the CEO of Contractor Connect, a performance-marketing company that connects homeowners with contractors through live transfer customer acquisition. In this role, I work closely with partners across the home-improvement industry to help businesses grow efficiently and predictably through high-intent customer demand. My approach to leadership continues to be shaped by lessons learned through sports—preparation, consistency, and commitment to team success.
Basketball has remained a constant influence throughout my life, helping shape both my mindset and my career path. The values I developed on the court continue to guide how I build teams, lead organizations, and pursue long-term growth opportunities.
